Christmas Traditions

I used to think that I didn't have any Christmas traditions. Well I've discovered a couple this year.

Christmas traditions:
-a monetary gift to my car for appointments
-wearing coveralls and heading to the barn to spend Christmas morning with the chicks
-paying Ontario Government for the right to drive my car
-playing games (and rarely winning)
-playing in the snow with my brother-in-law
-dancing with my mom and sister to Christmas music
-partaking in a rowdy Slotegraaf dinner

Christmas

Not intending to brag or anything, but I got the best postJesus christmas gift. Here's the story:

It all began with being an anal sleeper, which means my body is stubborn and will only sleep according to certain times. So, of course, Christmas morning, I'm laying awake in my bed at 7:00a.m. willing my body to be less anal. At this moment our family (those that are early risers) was blessed with a phone call from Australia this morning. It was my little (aka bigger) brother. And I got to talk to him for awhile. It was so great to hear his voice and to enjoy some of the stories. I really miss that kid (I mean man). Then he had to go because it was no longer Dec. 25 but the 26th and it was awfully late.

Moral: Thank the anal body once in awhile, real blessings can come with being awake.

I've reached a new era...

I have finally succeeded!! I just completed a 5-star Sudoku today all by myself. It's too bad that my computer isn't attached to a printer or I'd frame it.

p.s. I'm not going to tell how long it took me....
