What a Christmas

It's finally happened....a new addition to my family. Yesterday my brother Luke proposed to his girlfriend, Tanya...and she said "yes." I am going to get another sister!! The girls will, once again, outnumber the boys (it's been 17 years since that's happened). I can't believe that my brother, the one who adamantly hated girls, is going to spend the rest of his life with one. I guess there's hope for everyone!

Trust....trust...trust....trust

I feel like I'm at a pivotal spot in my life. I am finally going to graduate come May and then what? Where does God want me to go? As a teacher-in-the-making I need to start applying places, working on my resume and portfolio, and going through interviews real soon. Yet, I have no clue as to the direction God wants me to go. I could go anywhere in the world. Is it possible that what I want and what God wants could be the same thing?

Do you ever have the gut-renching feeling of wanting something sooooo badly that your whole body craves it? Is that a God thing or a selfish thing?

I feel like I'm back in highschool trying to decide where to go to postsecondary school. In highschool I made the decision to go to University of Waterloo while God made the decision for me to go to Redeemer University. To make a long story short, I'm at Redeemer. God always manages to put me where He wants me. And then it comes back to the same word over and over again: TRUST. Well, here we go again.

Repeat over and over again: trust...trust...trust...trust...trust...trust...trust...trust........

Top Ten at Home

My top ten things so far in Listowel since leaving Hamilton yesterday:
1) Hugs from my dad
2) Watching bike videos with my younger brother
3) Laughing at my quirky Oma with my older brother's girlfriend
4) Listening to the Christmas song "I saw mommy kissing Santa" for the first time on the radio and laughing outloud (alone) while getting my hair cut
5) Watching my mom conduct a christmas church program and later finding out that she had written the whole thing
6) Listening to people compliment the christmas church program
7) Going to the dollar store and finding great treasures
8) Eating food prepared by my mom and grandma
9) Sleeping in a bed that is more than one foot off the floor
10) Laughing with my family

Graduate

I am officially a graduate of Redeemer. Monday night I wrote my last undergraduate examination. I officially have letters behind my name now. I have joined the alumni crowd.
